Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Nitrous oxide sedation will help your visit go by quickly, and allow you to receive your dental cleaning or treatment without having to sit with overwhelming feelings of anxiety or fear. All our team will do is place a small mask over your nose that will allow you to breathe in the mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen. After just a moment, you’ll feel a euphoric and comforting wave wash over you that allows you to sit back and relax for the rest of your visit.
Oral Conscious Sedation
For our patients who require more extensive treatment or who have severe anxiety or phobia, we may recommend a slightly stronger sedation option than nitrous oxide, called oral conscious sedation. Simply take one pill before your appointment and arrive to our office feeling at-ease and relaxed. Because the effects linger for longer (up to eight hours), you’ll need to have a trusted friend or family member ready to drop you off and pick you up from your appointment.
