Where Precision Meets Comfort

At Zoom Family Dental, Dr. Chawala has spared no expense when it comes to ensuring each of his patients receives outstanding, predictable results, as well as comfortable treatment. From our putty-free digital impression system to our detailed and advanced cone beam CT scanner, our office is equipped with the latest technology available to us. We invite you to learn more about our technology and how they can improve your dental experience by reading below.

Digital Impressions

Typically, taking an impression requires getting patients to bite down on gag-inducing putty. In addition to being uncomfortable, this process is also imperfect, meaning it may need to happen multiple times before we’re able to get an adequate impression. With our iTero Lumina digital impression device, all our team needs to do is wave a camera-tipped wand in your mouth and it will create a digital file that we can immediately send to our laboratory. It’s that easy!

Soft Tissue Laser

Dental lasers are becoming an important piece of technology in every office. Our soft tissue laser allows us to quickly and painlessly complete treatments like gum recontouring and frenectomies without the use of a scalpel and sutures. Due to the cauterizing and vaporizing abilities of the laser, our patients are able to enjoy shorter treatment and recovery times, less post-operative bleeding, and a more comfortable treatment overall.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Our cone beam CT scanner is an advanced imaging device that’s quick, comfortable, and allows for more precise treatment planning by providing our team with a 3D view of your entire facial and oral anatomy. All we’ll have you do is rest your chin on a platform as we activate a scanner that moves around your head. We often take cone beam scans when our patients are in need of dental implant treatment or other more complex or advanced procedures.

Intraoral Camera

Sometimes, the naked eye can’t see everything. That’s why we use our intraoral camera during your routine checkups! This is a small, handheld device with a camera at the tip of it, allowing our team to take up-close still images as well as show you live video footage of the inside of your mouth. This technology is especially helpful when it comes to educating you on any diagnoses we make as well as explaining why we recommend a certain treatment.
